Building this one step by step. This is a from a pencil drawing I did and descided to paint. A Character Study.
An interesting CHaracter I might add. Kind of looking forward to the progression of this one as I am not completely sure where I am going or what I am going to do with it.
Painting what I feel I guess
Anyway Enjoy!
Heres a step by step

Just wanted to note as you can see if you have visited this thread its been updated. The first layer is at the bottom left so you can see the steps I made.
I am starting to get a feel what I am going to do with the character, but I am still undure about His enviroment.
I may go with a simple but nice background or then maybe place Him in some sort of enviroment.
Oh well know more about it as it develops. I normally would have all of this layed out but I thought I would take a risk and see where the journey took me.
I might crash and burn but it looks like a promising ride.

Looks like you're going in a good direction to me. Assuming from the title, i would guess that some sort of magic is going to be emminating from this guy (most likely his hands), I would suggest that once you lay out all of your base coloring, go back in a new layer and change the lighting on his face to be from underneath. It will give a creepy mood to the piece and ultimately emphasise the power and realism of your subject. However this is only if you plan to have his hands producing all that crazy magic. Like i said, only a suggestion, I think the piece is great thus far, keep up the good work... Knibb High Football RULES |
