This is a sketch that i did in class after being inspired by both kill bill and the last samurai. I was just hard up on samurai swords after those flicks i suppose. Please give any suggestions to make this piece great, thanks!
since im having trouble getting the pictures to display, just copy and paste the address below in a new window, even when i link the pic, angelfire wont let me post a url link to the damned board, the bastards!

Here is another sketch from that class (not an art class by the way, hehe, who wants to take notes anyway?), however, it's not colored in yet. And i am aware that on the other picture the other eye is not developed (im salvaging the drawing from a very rough sketch by way of the coloring process)

Looks good. I like your style, and thanks for replying to my topic! All I have to say about the first one is that her dress looks like it might slip off of her right breast at any moment... Try raising the breast, too. It should move up as the shoulder does. Otherwise, nice sketch.
The second one is nice, too. I like the attractive guy/weird mutant combination. The only thing I have to say is that the arms are a little short, and they're sort of webbed to his side so that it looks like he couldn't move them... I might be misinterpreting the sketch, though. Nice design. |
