IVE painted some wildlife paintings but want to get some prints done before i sell the originals.
I was quoted 470 for just one print!!! unbelievable hey?
My mian question is, can i just go into my local photo copy shop and have my paintings scaned onto a cd, then send the cd to a fine arts printer to have some prints done? if so IS THERE A MINIMUM RESOLOTION ON THE SCAN? ie WHAT MINIMUM PIXEL RESLOUTION MUST THE SCAN TO CD BE IN? or doesnt it matter?
PLEASE HELP!!!
thanks |

scanning artwork at 300 is usually a good way to go. 600 gets requested as well. it all depends on where the artwork is going i guess. the higher dpi you scan it in, the bigger you can print it without loss of detail. hope this helps =) |
