you should do a bit more contrast on the face and post it in a smaller resolution (when i scaled it down to 50% it looks much better Smile

but without these 2 points it really a cool piece of work, the painted face rocks!

Whoa that is totally excellent! At first I thought it was a 3d rendered piece! It's really all the little touches that make it look great...how you tilted the hangaurd of the sword and added detail there, all the little metal pieces and decoration...especially the links beneath his neck.

If I had to mention anything it wouldn't even be about the art itself! ...as a sword guy though a katana is usually held with the space of a full fist between his two hands on the hilt. So in other words one hand is held near the hand gaurd, the other towards the bottom of the hilt. To maximize power behind the cut. But that's just a silly technicality...I don't think it takes anything away from the pictures. Neat stuff!

Exelent.. I love the colours in it. The details in and around the face erea are great aswell.. draws that part more into focus... like was mentioned here above then i think it could do with a tad more contrast/sharpness... and the folds in the cloth on the legs bother me a bit. Also his right hand (our left, the back one) appears a bit flat.

Appart from that great piece.

whoa... nice one.

I agree with above. The hand and the face need a little more contrast.. I think the skin in general needs a bit more sharpness/contrast. the other part that bugs me is the tied belt around his waist.. seems a bit out of focus or not contrasty enough compared to the armour its covering.

Still, very very solid peice of work.

great stuff.
