I am currently working on this, crazy looking guy. I am also just starting to practise with low opacity, my first attempt sucked. But i think i made a big improvment, on this one working with opacity. And am happy about this.

I did not use any refrence for this piece.
It makes you feel so much better about yourself when you do not copy. Also i have a place, where i can host my images now, someone i believe on here or over at sijun told me about it so that is awsome.

Any comments, suggestions, help, are appreciated.

I am stuck on what to do with part of the body and arms and hands etc. I suck badly at anatomy. I was thinking about making him look in a mirror with the mirror all cracked and the reflection of him going in it. By rotating the canvas around. so he is looking other way back at himself, and blending him into the mirror. Would that work?

behold!...reference DOES serve a purpose in this world of art after all!
the reason its called reference is because you simply REFER to it when you need help...reference is NOT synonomous with copying...this is how a good artist learns and develops...youre head is stuck in a crate if you dont use reference....
the face has no bone structure in it...its like one mass of pizza...
there are no planes...angles...shadows....lighting...i mean...you dont go to school and learn from your own head....you have books, teachers, internet...REFERENCE.
