I just go with .psd in RGB colour mostly (obviously because of the layering in progress pics) but I usually keep them in psd once they're finished and Jpeg 'em in Fireworks as needed. I use bitmaps (.bmp that is) a bit too)
But there's folk I know who swear by and only use .tga in lab colour for finals. I've never found out why; might be something to do with printing or developing or something.
what does everyone here use and why? |

Maybe lab colours transfer better from system to system? I seem to recall hearing something like that somewhere, but I wouldn't swear that's right. Just a guess, really.
I, too, mostly use PSD's in RGB mode, except for sketches that I paint. I don't use layers on those.

I have no idea!
All I know is that CMYK is for printing and RGB is best for digital based things like presentations and web graphics. More color too. CMYK has limited color range... do a search on lab colors in a search engine. You mite find the answer. ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |

I personally always use PSD, EPS or TIF format, simply because they offer the best quality.
RGB and CYMK are used for printing images, a lot plotters or printers print in 4 colors
Cyan, magenta etc.
That's why CMYK is used. Besides, it's a higher quality (32 bit)
