Hi,

i have a huge problem with the colourpicker in PS7. I don't know why, but for some strange reason the colourpicker (alt-click in brushmode) picks the background colour instead of the colour you are painting with.

Did anyone expierience this problem before? Do you know how to fix it?

Hi,

In Windows using Photoshop 7, when the Brush tool is active, the Alt key activates the Eyedropper Tool, then if you click, it picks whatever color you click on.

(On Mac's, I believe, it would be the Option key to activate the Eyedropper Tool.)

It won't pick the color you were previously using unless you click somewhere in the image where that color happens to be and then, of course, the color won't change from the color you were previously using.

If you're getting the background color, maybe it's because you clicked with the Eyedropper Tool on the background?

Wink
