These are fantastic. They all pack a real emotional punch somehow. Here my eloquence escapes me. They have what I can only describe as an Old Mastery feeling to them.
forgotten is great. It reminded me of some of the English romantic painter John Martin's apocalyptic creations.

ruins is also exceptional.
If you want more constructive crits though, post bigger images, and sort out the haphazzard links.
It's really refreshing to see some bold, striking oil paintings.
bravo!

That'd be the latter, for me anyway. Have to follow the link. |

Thanks a lot. Yeah I'm a real fan of the romanticist movement with Turner and Friedrich and such. Thanks for the John Martin link, I've never seen several of those works before. If you click the link then go to where it says view view original image, You should be able to see the larger sized versions.
Well, apparently Imagestation doesn't like it when you try to link to the full size version of the images. Does anyone know of a good place where I could upload large images and link to them. |

I really like the drowning tree, the grey house & wrath. (I like wrath best, as I feel it has the best composition of the three.) I like how drowning tree has a little John Bauer:ish feel to it, like you could paint in a delicate pale girl in it and it would still come out smashing. |

Thanks a lot puddin, designer, petteri, mon, and drunken muse.
Mon-yeah, it really sucks how muddy some of these look, some of these are a real bitch to try to photograph well and then they lose a lot more quality when put on the web. Its a shame cause one of the coolest things about these paintings is their surface texture which gets lost to a large degree in these reproductions. Heres a detail from "The Grey House" to give a better idea of how these things look in real life.
