The new millenium starts on the 1st of the 1st, 2001, not the 1st of the 1st 2000. It irritates me when people point this fact out, but it is the truth. |

Cecil, I know, but who gives a damn? As long as there are parties being held and fireworks being lit
Besides, it's a great opperunity for Will Smith to release his new album (Willennium) once more next year ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |

Cecil, I think you are mistaken
since 0.1 still is positive januari 1st IS the next millenium... at least, it sounds logical

Actually, cecil is right. Ya see, the year is based on the BC and AD. When Christ was born, that's where the AD time period started, known as 1AD, but of course, he wasn't one year old, he was only a newborn. Hence, this would make him 1999 years old at the moment. So, we still have to wait 1 more year for the new M (I'm sick of the damn word). Don't believe me? Read the bible sometime. @:-)
This was brought to you by Brain's Art Site, the safe alternative to being slapped across the face with a wet Pokemon. @;-)

they're called BCE and CE now btw,
and they didn't come up with year number one until about 150yrs after it iirc. They back dated yasee. Many say they were out by 4-30 yrs depending on who you talk to.
and what's all this about the end of the linoleum or something? |
