rarely post any finished stuff in here, so this is more of a dumpoldstuff post, not that old though (past month or so), just to let you guys know that i'm not a lazy bum

probably seen a couple of these in the speedie











it's not a yay look at me thing, but hopefully crits/comments on what i'm slipping into, the general things i need improvement on ( i know, theres a lot ) i know i use more black than is healthy - one thing i'm trying to work on, keep ending up smacking lots on or starting by bring highlights out, but anything you guys can spot would help me immensely at this stage

It seems to me as though you are very meticulous in every piece. Sometimes that can get you focus on the details, rather than the overall composition. The first piece for example has a nice texture to it and powerful lighting, but it looks like it wasnt really planned out that well. I might be wrong but it seems like you didn't use much reference for anatomy, reflections and lighting, shadows,,,,blah blah. I really like your style of light and shadow though. The way the focus point of the piece is always illuminated. The second to last has a good idea for lighting yet it hits the figures all wrong. I think you could layer this one up a lot more too because its really flat and rough in a lot of areas such as the guys face and the background. Like you got lazy in some parts or something.
I won't bore you with my thoughts anymore so i'll just say keep it up because once you develop your style, it's gonna be awesome. I can tell
