What cartoons do you guys have memories of? There used to be so many wicked cartoons when I was young. Now all there is is fucking Pokemon and like, Beast Wars :P

Anyway, remember Thundercats? Silverhawks? Voltron? M.A.S.K ? WWF Cartoon? Any of those bring back memories?

I for one REALLY wanna see some episodes of Thundercats and Silverhawks (remember, Bluegrass/Silverhawks, Liono/Thundercats?!

ANyway, just had to share that, I miss my cartoons

Oh shit! He-man, Thundercats and Silverhawks, oh my!

I think nearly everyone that was young in the eighties was all about these shows, and is better off for it. And if they weren't I feel sorry for your hollow souls. :p

Why can't Pokemon have any redeeming factors like He-Man did? I learned from that show that Skeletor was the coolest villain ever. Cowardly, a born loser, but never gave up. I learned that Orko was not only a dorky name, but whoever bore it was destined to be a dork.

And I think G.I.Joe taught us that in the future, weaponry won't be a concern, since every vehicle known to man will include auto-eject parachutes, resulting in NO casualties in any wars.

Thus far from working around Pokemon Crap i have learned that the average I.Q. of our nation's children has dropped dramatically ever since they started donning those Ash Catchem hats and worshipping that insipidly-dumb electrified piece of shit calle Pikachu.

I've been wanting to see an episode of Thundercats for years now -- but I haven't been able to find one ANYWHERE. Do any of you guys know any possible websites where you can order cartoon movies?

I totally forgot about Silverhawks until a few weeks ago - now I'm obsessed with finding pics of the characters. I wanna draw them. Don't any of you remember M.A.S.K? Those guys with the cool cars and trucks and shit that transformed kinda like transformers?

The original transformers also kicked ass, as did Voltron.

Wanna hear the Thundercats theme song for old times sake?

Check it out!

I have fod memories of M.A.S.K, teenage mutant ninja turtles, voltron, transformers and good old robotech *sigh*. Ah the memories.
Those cartoons brought me so much joy as a kid *sob*
Then there were all the other cartoons I liked, but I didn't love, like Xmen, pizza cats, and conan.

Plus I *really* liked Captain Planet! (say what you will, but I think that show kicked!)

Later ppl,

Anyone remember the Get-along Gang? And the Shirttails?

No one even close to my age seems to remember those.

OH! And how about that one where that kid turned into a Corvette whenever he got hot? What the hell was THAT one? I can't even remember the title.

I'd like to point out that while there are cartoons I miss there are STILL good cartoons on. Plus maybe of the old ones are still on. If you get Cartoon Channel they run tons of stuff including Ronnie Warriors. Disney even shows Popeye if you know when to watch! (Popeye being from my dad's childhood and not mine, but I still love it).

The thing is I love anime and it makes me sad to see shows such as Pokemon a success (yes unfortunately pokemon is counted as anime NOT a cartoon). They give a bad name to real anime which has wonderful artwork and good plots. If you want to see a GREAT movie go see Princess Monononke. They actually didn't change much of anything in the American version and the artwork is amazing!!

Ahhh... *rendition of Memories in the bg*

Voltron kicked! As did and does Ninja Turtles! I'm an avid collector of TMNT, even got the Hummer for my 17th birthday on the 20th Dec.

Strangely though, I've never done a digi-artwork of them, or any serious pencil works. Tsk tsk tsk. NEXT PROJECT!!! @:-)

Hey, why don't we all pick our fave nostalgic cartoon and draw characters from it? Could be like that group drawing thing suggested ages ago... This could be fun!

Later!

Actually, when I think about it, TMNT taught me how to draw! It's what started me drawing! Thank you so much ninja turtles! I remember in grade 1 when we would draw ninja turtles all the time! My earliest and fondest drawing memory....*sigh*

Hey, what about centurions? And the smurfs? I LOVED the smurfs when i was a little kid. Thundercats, Silverhawks and He-man, omfg, those are amazing. I remember I always wanted to be the like the kid in Silwerhawks, the one that had kinda gay voice. Which was cool anyway
What about anime? There were some amazing anime series that rules back then. I dont know if anyone have seen 'Saint Seiya', but its an anime not really know in the US, which btw had one of the most intriguing and original plots I have ever seen.

ahh.. silverhawks was fucking great. i dunno if they had shows for these 2 things, but does anyone remember rocklords(i think) or *shit* i cant remember the name. man, like, they were plastic toys that stood about 2 inches tall and could only move their arms. they were all basically armoured animals. argghhh! this is gonna drive me nuts, does it ring a bell with anyone else? i found them to be a humongous inspiration for my art.

THUNDERCATS HOOOOO! yeah, I loved the Thundercats, He-Man, She-Ra, Strawberry Shortcake, Rainbow Brite, Care Bears, Vultron, Gummy Bears, The Smurfs, ummm... I can't remember anymore right now... Speed Racer, Josie and the Pussy Cats, Bannana Ramma (or... what the heck was that show called with the dudes dressed in animal costumes and they played music?... it's a faded memory from re-runs of a 70's show) Oh and Giagantor. (I'm a crappy speller)

Oh, if you like cartoons get the Saturday Morning Cartoons CD. It's got renditions of the cartoon theme songs we all know and love. Done by bands like Helmet. I miss He-Man and POKEMON SUCKS!
