I have done this one on the last weekend.
I used a photo reference for some part of the pose, also used my own hand and feet.
This Image is done in OpenCanvas 1, I just adjusted the colours and fixed some lil things in Photoshop. This one took me about 14 hours.
I wanted to combine classic and realistic elements with comic. The final image seem to be waird at the first sight, but this is OK like that. I do not like realism much and also I am not a big fan of classic. In fact I just wanted to play and experiment with moods.
As you may notice, her body is brighter that the BG, I did adjust it on purpose to give the image more contrast, before she was lost in detail. I like the way her body glows, she has this white, pure skin. The dragon was inspired by Panzer Dragoon. In the first Version of the Image I had a classic dragon head and in the sketch there was a Chinese dragon. During the progress I wanted to stop painting a several times, some parts were boring to paint and I was tired..
I wanted to make the image look like oil first but I could not do so, Open Canvas is very limited.
I did not finish the image, there are many things undone, like this dummy short sword on the left.
Also I noticed that the image looks very different on the monitor in my office.
At home I use a LG Flatron, but all the fine nuances around the tree are gone now and it looks very flat, this I will fix to. Some parts of her cloths on the floor are not finished, the upper one on the left looks flat and rough, I will fix it.
Original Size is 1500 x 2304
here some details:

Hey awesome painting man. I don't understand why no one's commented yet.
The only problem I could find is that the figure appears to lack volume, though I not here to pick it apart though since you said that it's not completely finished.
The hands are incredibly well done... I'm amazed.
The chromatic dragon collection is a great idea however. 'The Blue Dragon' piece rocked, and this one is awesome. I can't wait to see the others. ![Very Happy](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) _________________

Thanks man! Glad someone replayed.
I was hoping for more action but it seems people do not like it. _________________ www.hd-fortresss.com |

Nice work,
not perfect but nice.
There are some anatomy lacks, i think.
first her right upper-arm is to short in this position, maybe you tried to use foreshortening, but it doesn't work here.
Then i have probs with her "tits", she seemed rised her right arm, in this case everything should also follow, try to say: her right tit should be heigher.
Then her ring-finger on her left hand looks like to short, it isn't i know, but the bend-effect ist not noticeable. And her thorax is much to wide, i think, she is a woman not a man. ^^
on the other hand good light work and interesting composition.
(i personly don't like the head of the dragon >_<, case it's not aesthetic for me. For one war-dragon this may be good sollution, but not for small one. BUT it's only me )
Andrew
(ok you are right, that's not correct, but Andr is also false
This should be only the english version, the correct one is "Andrej" ) |

REPLY, dammit. Not replay. I mean, "replay" doesn't even make sense in that context, ffs. Yeah, I like that picture, a huge ugly snake with protection gear attached to it between the legs of a young female -- if this ain't art it's gotta be how da ladies would describe a night with good ole me. _________________

I like the idae. the pose is interesting but the colouring need some more work, currently she doesn't really seem alive, the colour scheme is awesome though. the background and the grass are my favourite parts. keep it up =) |

yeah this is real cool nice job i really like the grass and her hands. they are right, the body does lack volume, and the neck really doesnt look right to me. and it seems like her legs are a little too far apart where they attach at the crotch... i think it has to do with how you had her bottom leg curve up too soon _________________ ...be sure man that every
