I made this for the speedpainting thread, and thought it had some potential,
so I decided to paint a more finished version of it.
So what do you think, to tastless or what?
I would appreciate some comments, as I'm kinda blank after starring at it for so long (around 6-7 hours).

i miss the window a bit ... combined with the girl straight below, it was important for the composition and gave it a "deeper meaning".
There was a connection between them ... so i thought the girl has to get in this room upthere ... or there lurks something dangerous in there.
Well - i miss this question in the new version! _________________ Lars Gtze

Pringle!
NOOOOOOOOO!!! Bring back the blue sky from the speedie! The tower's colours complimented it perfectly, now it's too vague. If it's tiled, in the manner of Islamic architecture, then a few well placed highlights on the dome might work too, unless the green is meant to be verdi gris.
Aside from that, it's great.

agreed too, loved the colour in top half of the speedie (hoping you can add a bit of that blue still), think the only thing i could see was the prevalence of that shade of brown in the shadowed area, if it were broken down a bit (i know you have with the leaves) with a slightly darker shade, a bit of texture, it would add a lot of depth, suck you into the centre and bring the focus to the girl more, really impressive stuff though pringle |

Thanks for all the comments.
Duracel: I changed the composition, as I think the eye got finished viewing the picture very quickly. I agree, the sense of mystery was stronger in the first one, but I think the second one makes for an image that keeps the viewers eye for a longer period of time (?).
You are right about the window, I've painted it back on again.
Sumaleth: thanks, glad you like it.
Summer pudding: point taken and you are right, thanks for pointing it out. With a computer its easier to make decisions quick, and sometimes I take a wrong turn.
Bill Baxter: thanks, its fun to experiment with the brushes
Spyroteknik: yeah, I've added a bit more dark to the shadow area, but I think it could use a bit more. I'm to tired to mess around with it for now.
Everybody: Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts!
I really appreciate it.
Made a newer version:
Tried to bring some more scale into it, dunno if I succeded.
