first forum post in ages :> don't know if anyone remembers me.
this is something I did messing around with painter (8) was ment to be a quick warmup but went a bit further.
this is the latest pic I did for a sketchblog I started up with some other people. (also painter)
here are some of the older entries. most of these are photoshop over pencil.
I've been playing around with using flat color more, just keeping it simple.
got sick of last week or so tho, and tried to use painter again. I like doing it both ways, have to mix them somehow.

| I agree with Mon, that rider on the dinosaur (along with the dino) is brilliant! Nice stuff in the gallery too |

I love your work. I really really love your work. So deft! I used to be an animator, and I will always have a softspot for the swift and sure hand of a good animation illustrator. Simple, fast expressive lines. Straight to the point. What's your background?

Long time no see. Glad to see you're still pushing the good old Intuos pen.
I really like the red dragon, it would make a really nice finished picture if you asked me.

Cheers for the replies everyone. good to hear some feedback.
Fiend- I keep trying to do a speed paintings but always end up taking ages. :P I'll get there one day.
Francis- thanks dood :). pity we didn't get our thunderdome going :( was looking forward to it.
visual myriad- heya, good to see some of the oldschoolers like yourself are still around as well hehe.

I don't know if I even have a background really. I'm self tought, most of my formal education was in graphic design (blargh). I've always liked animation stuff tho. I grew up on astrix and tintin.
