Alright - this is more of a practice/critique/help for perspective. it's not really a WIP, but I just really need to sharpen my skills for perspective and really learn what's going on... i really suck at it and haven't had enough formal training yet to be good/familiar w/ it well...

so please, tear this piece apart - i'd appreciate all the critiques i can get. just a quick sketch. hopefully i'll be adding sketches to this thread as i go =\

truth be told im not the best at perspective either, but if you could show how you were trying to do it by showing your horizon point(s) it would help to crit
or even better a picture of the place

are you doing one point perspective and if so:

i think that the section of the floor to the right where it meets the wall should be parallel to the line where the back wall meets the floor
the lines art the top and bottom of the back wall should also probly be parallel, or at least almost parallel
the stairs should probly also be parallel with that line unless they are actually set at an angle from the wall

its a weird perspective to draw from it feels like we are floating and the size of the room is unclear
it feels like the area to the right is only as tall as the door is because the ratio of heights is the same as the railings to the door, assuming the ralings are about half as tall as the door
in other words since the ralings are about twice as big as they would be if they were by the door, the area to the right is twice the size of the door implying that it is the same height as the door, but closer

another thing to do could be to make the raling closer to us a bit bigger than the other one

im sure there are some perspective drawing tutorials that would be good to use rather than take advice from me.
