hi all!
i was always interested in satire, caricatures etc., but i just know some artists of my own country, so:
sijun members from all over the world, post your favourite satirical artists here!
my favourite: gerhard haderer ( ok wise guy, he is from austria, not from germany :p )

Manfred Deix, probably the most famous one in Austria and imo quite a good one (though I don�t follow local art at all really, shame on me).

I know this is going to sound really clich�d and popularist, but my favourite UK satirical artist has to be Gerald Scarfe:

Especially the Bush and Blair ones. The politics might be questionable (I'm not into Michael Moore's way of thinking, even though I've read his books) but I can't deny his (Gerald Scarfe's) approach I find a more palatable form of political satire. |
