Nice one Eye.
I like how you're expanding stylewise, letting it all out in more of a loose way. Makes for interesting texture/grit.
I like how you've handled your palette lately. It seems like you're going for a more desaturated look compared to your earlier pieces. Also present in your Bladerunner stuff.
A big step forward I think. Good job.

Yes, in a way. I am constantly experimenting with ways of producing digital artwork. For this portrait I used the following method, a combination of starting with a very rough displacement filtered photo and the same unaltered photo to use as an eyeball reference.
Here is the unaltered "eyeball reference" photo. The one I used to look at as I digitally painted over the other one.
...and here is the altered photo I used as a base to paint over.
I'm going to do a tutorial on this technique and post it on my site some day soon... _________________ HonePie.com
