Wouldn't mind some help on this one guys, been doing it in the wee hours over the past few days (going to be a valentines present for the missus), but i don't have much time left as i need to send to the printers by monday at the latest, saturday if possible, with me doing it in secret my time is limited too, so it's a 3am job , think it's going reasonably well but i know there are probs, working without direct reference so i'm relying on my own poor skills and a few refs from different angles of the faces, any help that wouldn't be too major is very much welcomed at this point, i think i'm going blind
bit of background, that's me & the wife, kid & cat, started out as a speedie of a woman sitting down - link - can't remember if it was originally reffed or not, don't think it was, but i basically upscaled that and painted over it, anyway, i'd appreciate any tips, oh, a load of wip/detail things in no particular order

i like it, but it seems really sad for a family portrait.... i looks like you are on the way to a funeral or something. maybe if everyone wasn't wearing all black it would look less depressing _________________ check out my webpage @ http://www.evanart.com/ |

that'll explain the bad dreams last night then , hadn't made that connection before, i confess to feeling a bit funny painting it too, but that's more or less what we wear usually when going out, i smiled up the faces a little, not much i know, i wanted a gothic type feel to it so the darkness fits in a way, but i made it more yellowy in tone (plan on doing the cloth, arms and cat tomorrow), anything else guys? realistically i only really have tomorrow to work on it, i could leave it until monday but it's cutting it a bit fine
*edit*, i know i didn't do much tonight, she's been waking up a lot, been minimizing |
