A sketch
its mainly a very stylised pose practice, but if you have any terrible mistakes to point out plz do so. Remember though, its stylised
And another thing. if anyone is border enough feel free to paint over or sumfin to help me get an idea how to take this further.

Red X
Plus, if it's stylized, we'll know. When an artist says asks the viewer to consider the style, it sounds more like an excuse than anything else. I can't see the pic, though, so I'll hold of any judgement until I see it.
Edit: Okay, I can see it now. The torso on the figure to the right looks unbalanced with the rest of the body, like it just doesn't flow right with the movement of the limbs. _________________ "Keep on beating and sharpening a sword, and the edge cannot be preserved for long." -Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching

well if you want to use these sketches and make a more clean drawing from them probably the easiest way is to just get some Graphics paper (a kind of semi transparent paper) and just draw/trace over the top of the sketch. Or if your feeling more lazy you can just do your scribbly sketch in graphite then use a pen over it then erase the graphite.
the exercise of using minimal amount of lines while drawing is a good way of training your eye to be more observant, especially when working from life, so its good to practice with that every now and then. |
