So what do u guys think? I used a reference..here's the link http://www.csustan.edu/english/reuben/pal/chap4/thoreau.gif Yeah i know i changed it a bit, but that bird's nest around his neck is just kind of gross, lol.

That is good, but you weakened his jaw immensely. Thoreau has an atmosphere about it, a kind of electricity, that is lost in your portrait. Your version looks weakened, frightened. Also the hair looks like chrome. You might benefit by refining individual strands of hair a bit more.
