these are just oekaki sketches (using a java applet, kinda an advanced "MS paint") of some concepts i want to do full illustrations to sometime/someday - i'd love to eventually put together a whole book of dragon illustrations and stories that go with them to illustrate various ideas and things about people and the world etc etc... these are the rough stories too of 'em...

---Fated---

An age of dragon-hunts had begun, and fewer and fewer dragons inhabited the known world. Blood-thirty humans had no mercy or empathy towards the beasts and hunted them mainly for pleasure and sport. He was in danger; every moment brought him closer to his death, for he could not leave to find better hiding- he had to stay with the egg that provided him life, yet was sure to bring his death: the glowing radiance that was abnormal for most eggs would one day attract people to his dwelling. So as he grew, he forever sheltered the egg, hoping that one day he would grow large enough to cover the entire object and better ensure his life and safety, hoping that that day was soon enough, for time was growing short. Sadly, he did not know the egg was not lifeless: as the dragon grew, so did the egg.

---Self-Destruction---

Legend spoke of a dragon of luck, which only selected few could see. However, those who could see this magnificent beast that would stir during the twilight hours and on into the long night were blessed and around them everything prospered. One king had this gift of sighting the dragon and for a long time he would gaze up every night and watch the dragon pass or circle the citys buildings. His kingdom began to prosper greatly. However, after time passed, the wealth and success eventually got to the kings head and he became conceited and proud, thinking that he was the reason for the prosperity. His nights were spent in indulgence, and the times he would look for the dragon diminished. The wealth continued for only a short while longer before his kingdom suffered many tragedies and eventually fell to ruins. Gazing down at his great loss, he grew angry at the dragon, wondering why he did not see him anymore, and why he had lost his gift. The king had never lost the gift of sighting the dragon, however; he was just always too occupied to look for him.

THANK YOU - that's the type of comment i really appreciate getting - could you specify when you make certain comments though? such as how the anatomy is off etc?

i'll work on coming up w/ a better composition for Fated, and Self Destruction already looks quite different - i'll try to post a WIP on it on friday when i'm at work.

thx again

Ok i made some kind of over paint i hope it helps, it is far for done but,
i think it might help you anyway Very Happy, not my best over paint, but i think it might
help to make my point;

here:http://www.anzwers.org/free/maxetormer/gallery/dragon2.jpg

first, i think you need to make more prespective studies, i tried to figure out
what prespective would be the one suitable for you image, and i thought that
a 1 point prespective almost at center it is the one.
I changed the angle of the left wing, to make it a bit less ackward but tring
to preserve your original composition, the wings might need a bit of
reference, look up on the net for bats to see how their wings work so that
you can make them better as far as the human caracter goes it is not
defined enought to make any real analizis, so keep developing it, so that
we can see were are you heading =)
