I would like more of a crit. on the over all style used rather than just subject matter. These were just attempts to better myself and for Fun. Both done in Painter 8. Please post any comments.

I am one of the guys who doesn't get any responses too, so keep that in mind
The zombie picture lacks form really bad. I can't tell that it is supposed to be smoking. All I see is a kind of zombie thing sandwiched between colors. Also, the zombie's body looks like dough rolls or something, I dunno. Just not very interesting. I suggest more color contrast. I can see you did a little blue light on the zombie's face - where is that coming from? I suggest you emphasize that blue a little more, and create a source (at least have the area it is coming from also affected by the blue light).
The blue dragon is pretty nice, the style is good. Keep in mind that it is pretty simple, however, so don't expect a whole lot of reaction from it other than, 'not bad.' With that level of detail, you would be better off painting the entire dragon (which I am aware isn't that easy).
Keep practicing, you have potential. |

That is much smoother looking, but the torso is still hard to make sense of. You also removed that blue lighting, which wasn't what I intended for you to do. I would rather you add the source of the lighting.
Can somebody a little more experienced help him out? I can't decide exactly what he should do. |

I tried for a while to work in other light sources, but it just didn't feel right to me. |
