Just wondering what you guys think of the concept and overall result
Actually if you could give me a rating out of 10. 10 being professional enough to get a job. Rate low if you think it is, I'm still a student studying and this was just for a game project.
EDIT x2: Sorry about that, first time posting picture/using deviantArt
this link should work
EDIT: with these links i'm not allowd to link them to a forum, so you'll just have to open a new window and paste them into the address bar.

Ooo, looks intriguing Mark, though some larger images would be goodly. From what's visible though, I think some dirtying up could enhance him a bit. It seems there's bandages around his body, though they're not really discernable from the muscles. I figure they'd be blood soaked and aged, so you'd want spots where the blood hasn't touched and there's still reasonably clean bandage.
The bandolier could also be scratched/bloodied up a bit, as well as the left forearm bones. The bones seem to stick out a little too much in this clump of raw muscle tissue. I could say the same for the skull, but it kind of works.
It does need colour variation, but I think tinkering with the bandages could break up what is essentially a RED character. The model looks well built, and the texture work is goodly, though hopefully you'll build upon it to make it look even more awesome.
Keep up the good work, and make sure to show more of the character, as well as any updates ya make. _________________ Brain

Hey man,
Nice work. I agree with Brain, though: it really desperately needs a LOT of dirtying up to make it look scarier and more realistic. Think of RESIDENT EVIL here. Right now it's extremely "medical", which works against a horror feel.
Keep it up!

Thanks guys - great feedback
Yeah I agree that it needs to be alot dirtier, I was also thinking of putting like an old rusty sword going through his torso, to look a little more surreal than usual.
I'll give an update when I can, i'm currently working on some other models atm. |
