Check this sh*t out, my home gangstas..
I be the realest m*********er in town! You can't step to me, negro.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

beat 78 gunbound.m3u - stream (for high bandwidth)
beat 78 gunbound.mp3 - download mp3 (3.35MB)

I think this is my most finished and complete piece. I'm very happy with the sound quality and some chords.. although i still noticed a lot of disharmonies and just crappy spots after listening to it a few times, but then i decided to leave it as is because i'm too lazy to render, master, and save all the files again Smile

PS: Let your favorite hoe listen to this, i bet she's gonna trip!

This is definitely the best thing I've heard from you Shizzy. The beat is dope. The vibes are nice.

The only part I don't like is the secondary melody that comes in for the first time at about :28 seconds. It sounds a little too "toy piano", you know?

You know what I'd like to hear you try, are some sustained strings. Just hold a note for 128 beats while the song changes underneath it . . . keep it soft . . . it's a great way to add some emotion without being cheesy.

Don't worry too much about disharmonies . . . you'll find them in your own tracks where you'd never notice them in something somebody else wrote . . . step away from the track for a week, listen to it again, and if it still works for you, its all good.

Hey thanx, mista dawg hater! Smile

I know what you mean about the second melody, because i don't like how it begins myself (no bridge or whateva).

I noticed something interesting though.. Stuff that looks logical and "right" on a sequencer might not "sound" good. And stuff that looks terrible and totally random on a sequencer might sound amazingly good!

PS: It's actually supposed to be a "rap beat" so people can rap over it. My mistake is that i always have too much melody going on.. sound space is too crowded, that's why i'm working on keeping things as simple as possible.

Gets off to a good start with those vibes. Then, when you weren't looking, Pharell jump3d 0ut 0f the bush3z and st0l3d ur s3qu3nz0r!!!!~``1

:D

This has a good beat.

The song is very stereo...possibly too stereo. :o
Example: The vibes I feel are the widest in stereo, but there doesn't sound to be any center to them - which kinda makes my head tired and feel like this: o_______O

I do the same thing, heh. So I end up going back and tearing off some of the stereo channels from a few sounds or lowering their width. :P

Hehe you think, so Hamst3r? I thought my tracks never have enough stereo, cause when i listen to music, it usually has sounds in hard left/right but i never do. Somehow hard panning never works so i try a tiny bit of panning to keep everything centered.
Thanx for comments tho Very Happy
I kis you.

PS: I Updated the song!!! It's faster, i fixed some chords, some spikes in samples, and some empty spots! It's perfect, bato!

Ahh, nice structure. Dig that rhythm chord progression you got going--sound like a clav or something? Was it a sample loop or something you cooked up?

Yeah, I agree about that toy piano sound--it cheapens it a bit. If you're going to use sounds like that, you better throw some killer effects on it to beef it up.

I'm so eager to get back to making music again. After I finish this D'Artiste book I'll ditch art for a few months and concentrate on music!

Thank you. Indeed i never use phrase samples or loops (a rule that has exceptions).

EDIT: Ok, i do use short phrase samples sometimes, but never loops Smile
