This was a pretty quick painting for me. About 6 hrs from concept to finish. It did change considerably from the initial concept. The rendering is not as tight as I usually like to go.

I agree with Al Ian about the staff. It's a nice concept, but it really doesn't look finished. It's a bit odd how some parts ( like the body ) have an outline and others ( like the top of the staff and some parts of the goat ) don't, so it looks like you need to spend more time on this. If you were to do so, I would recommend throwing some cool colours in there too. It's nice as it is with a sort of monotone, but it makes it less realistic and takes away from the depth.
Or not, that's just my opinion. |
