I've been looking at the speeding painting thread for along time now and one thing i've noticed. The painter users seem to get alot more texture out of there brushes than the PS users. I find that i am also lost when I wanna add texture with ps brushes. If anyone has any tips, links, or tutorials on getting good painting/texturing results with PS brushes please let me know.
Thanks,
-Evil |

Check out the art of Loki and prep. I assume Loki uses texture brushes, because his art seems big on textures. I know Prep uses texture brushes, because we have talked about this before at great depths one of the few times I have talked with him. He custom creates texture brushes on the fly to capture realistic texture effects exactly the same way I use channels over larger scales. His method of texturing is far quicker than mine, but my method of using channels allows for greater controll so that I can loose myself into microscopic details that nobody else will ever see. For practical reasons of time management I suggest learning his method unless details really really matter.
I am thinking of writing a tutorial on how to create you own US currency for print, but this will have to wait until I get home. Keep in mind that everything on the US bill can be entirely fooled using a multipass print method through photoshop layers except for the hard to find reflective green ink they use in the corner. The watermark and uv strip can be fooled by a technique of running a black ink cartritdge empty and refilling a phosphorus based white ink using a black layer in photoshop. I still need to find a way to create that crazy reflective green/black ink before i write this up and publish to web. _________________ http://prettydiff.com/ |

Legally there is nothing they can do to me since I would present such information in merely an informational format only. Also my webserver is in Switzerland, so I think I am in the clear. The worst thing they could do to me is revoke my top secret clearance. _________________ http://prettydiff.com/ |
