I like 'em.
The first one is a bit speed painty but I like the idea. I'd like to see it done bigger with more details.
The second one is great. Very nice pencil work (something I always enjoy)...his face looks a _little_ bit stiff/flat...almost like you drew the face front on then drew everything else afterwards. Everything else about it is awesome though.
The third dispelled any doubts that you couldn't draw a face in anything other than full frontal. This looks somewhat familiar...is it a master copy?
I like the expression and colors on the fourth. Very punchy colors for colored pencil. Makes me wonder what he's leering at. |

Thanks for the critique fukifino.
The first one is the latest digital I have painted and I wanted to see how I would approach it after having an oil painting class. I found myself approaching it more loosely than i used to, and found it to be personally successful. I think I just need to find the balance between painterly and polished in digital work if i want to keep working this way.
The second was my final project for figure 1 class and i was pretty happy with it.
The third was a quick sketch of a face, using various sources as a model.
And the fourth, I wanted to see how paint like I could get colored pencils and I came up with this, it is pretty thick application of prismacolor pencils. _________________ Mike Bielaczyc - aradani.com |
