hey everyone,
been a while since i posted... busy with school.
here's a game cover i whipped up today for my "video game cover" project in my graphical design class (its due tommorow )... btw... the knight was drawn by me (did it all this afternoon), and a couple of the background pictures too... but some are photos (the knights in the background were NOT done by me).
hope you all like!
here's a detail:

Quite nice work. Looking at it for a moment or 2 a couple things that would make it look better do pop into my head, but this is still quite a nice image.
I think only problem is that the text doesn't match with the picture, and although you already handed it in, perhaps if the letters were hand done, with a bit of a gothic touch, it would help integrate them into the picture better. The other thing that popped into my head would be either a slight glow or shadow surrounding the night, to help bring him out more, instead of the word VALOR. |

this is a pretty cool design. i agree with lalPOOO, you should also try bringing the text down and having it actually go behind the knight. that would really make him stand out |

thanks for the feedback guys,
i agree with you both about the knight standing out and i would have done it, but with the game box design, one of the main requirements was to have the title stand out the most...
so what i did was drew the knights cloak swooping/acending into the word "valor", drawing the eye towards it.. also the drop shadows and textures/color on the text helped.
i got a 100% on the project... so i did good
on a side note.... this is my hundredth post! awesome. _________________ "Man! I just noticed that I write a lot of fragment sandwiches!" |

nice work mate
Maby ease up with the saturation on the cape and focus on where the light sources are coming from. Also look at some reference material for the folds fabric.
cool stuff!! keep ir up! _________________ Design portfolio |
