The image started completly different. I had planned on the boy dropping the sword, and his friends standing around him comforting him. Then slowly he had less friends, or they were further away, until I just made him alone. dunno, was really depressed when I was working on it, mostly because nothing in the image looks as I planned. In any event, I'd love to hear what everyone thinks. Thank you for the time. Here are some links to the progress of the image. In total it took about 20 hours, stretch out over three days. I couldn't spend anymore time on it, my paying work was backing up.

I think it'd be cooler if he was a paladin type. He would be light and shimmering(?) and the background would be darker and more menacing/depressing. Just my opinion.

But as it is I can't really crit anything. Looks good, and everything is colored and drawn really well. Excellent Work.

Very cool. But if as the title says, he is "remembering the warrior", that perhaps died and he's dropping his sword into the ocean, I don't think he'd have a little sword holder thing (not sure what it's called..a sheath maybe?). And if the sword was previously in it, it's too short. Also, it would be cool if the boy was sort of shaking under the great wieght of the sword, and along with the sadness which is eliquently portrayed, there could also be physical strain.

Very nice piece though, I like it alot.

I disagree with dfacto and Megamuffin... I can plainly see his own short sword in the sheath and I like the fact that hes a small guy.. my only crit is that a sword of that size would be a bit heavier for him than it looks.

all in all I think its a solid pic tho... Keep it up.

Can't really figure out why his back leg is less opaque than the rest of him. Other than that, I really love the job you did on the ocean, and the rocks too. Beautiful work there

Hey, thanks so much guys. =]

I wanted the boy to have a squire look. At least the look of a boy, and he is about to drop the sword. Thanks again guys. =]

i think the sky is the only thing that needs work.
the rendering of the water and rocks are great, and that just emphasizes the sky's weakness.
