In this link you may find the evolution of the drawings made by an artist under the effects of LSD, during 8 hours. It is quite interesting how it shows what I consider is the intended evolution of every artist: from detailed drawings to the most simplified ones, even passing by an "abstract" phase.
It may be of interest:

Interesting indeed.

...even passing by an "abstract" phase |
Abstract to the observer but not to the artist; Kandinsky stated that pure abstraction doesn't exist, as everything perceived (and potentially rendered) has some meaning. In the case of being under the influence of a powerful pyschotropic, perception becomes something beyond the realm of ordinary reality. The Yaqui Indian sorcerer, don Jaun Matus, called this "non-ordinary reality".
Thanks for posting the link - very cool. _________________ - Tom Carter

Very interesting. I must say that the 2 hours and 45 minute piece is the one that grips me the most. _________________ van |

Yes interesting. But I thought the drawings would be more consistent . Doesnt it also depend a lot on the artists personality? Maybe he couldve put more effort into every drawing to express really what he was seeing (or feeling, however you wanna put it). _________________ O que tu sois, ferme tes yeux et respire bien, tu sentira le parfum enivrant des cdres de mon pays le Liban. |

Well, I think that the most abstract of them express quite well what he was feeling... In fact I think it is quite "consistent" _________________ _ _ _____ _ _
