Sorry about lack of details on original message. See sequence, reference and snapshots below. All done from scratch with PS7 and Wacom. No filters expect for Gaussian Blur

Reference images are below the sequence, these images I got from photo.net and have not asked for permission from the authors so please don't publish these.

The bird is the cover for a guide for new freshman college students to keep their spiritual identity -- therefore the bird looks almost surreal as if from a dream -- it is supposed to represent a young student taking flight into the academic world.

The actual image was made in 4000px by 2500px at 72px/in

NIce colourful bird Smile
Really nice.

Can't help but think the wings look a bit insubstantial. Too small and invisible to carry the bird. They're like dragonfly wings strapped on him.

But it's really nice colorwise etc.
Maybe you just need to make the wings more opaque..
I'm guessing the closest wing is partly flapped in some direction that makes it take the unusual shape/size. Dunno if you think that needs adressing..

It's cool. Nice one.
Those were only small criticisms.

Heh, my thoughts exactly! But everything else looks great. Lovely illustration.
