Well first I'd like to give a warm hello to everyone. A friend of mine has been bugging me about posting here, and I finally just gave in. I'm still very, very new to drawing and things art related, haven't even been drawing for two years yet, and I'm fully self taught. Started after highschool, but enough blabber, let the images fly (and stones if need be)!
(Top recent/bottom old - Left link to the full deviation with description and comments from other users - Right link to go directly to the image with no description.)
L1 R1 Man (modern?) (ref)
L2 R2 Imaginative scene
L3 R3 Speed style expression
L4 R4 Abstract scene
L5 R5 Wrecked house (ref)
L6 R6 Fallout Fanart
L7 R7 Fallout 3 Fanart (and the game is only unoffially in existance too...)
L8 R8 Red Alley (ref)
L9 R9 Milky Falls (half-ref)
L10 R10 Rocks and Water (ref)
L11 R11 (very old) The Cloudwaker
I've yet to actually get around to using photoshop or painter for that matter, and would love some tips or advice on grunging myself to do so lol. The programs I use are open canvas, and a rather nifty java based browser app called Paintchat.
Thanks for your time and viewing these, and critiques more then welcome. ^^; |

Damn, you shouldn't be so hard on yourself in your comments. Those are really very excellent. I especially liked that first (well, second, but the first one you linked) piece of Fallout3 fanart. You'd probably benifit a lot jumping into the speedpainting thread here.
*goes to add you to devwatch*
Argh! You have one of those stupid names with hyphens at the beginning that mozilla doesn't like. Sigh...guess no devwatch for me. :/ |

I use mozilla and it works fine. Hmm maybe try updating to a newer version? |

Hmm...I'm using 1.4b at work and the latest version (0.6?) of Firebird (or whatever they're calling it now) at home...I thought I had the same problem at home too. Well, maybe I'll check it out when I get home as that's where I'd be more likely to browse your stuff anyways. |
