Hey man, don't knock the Graphires. They aren't Intuoses (Intui?), but they're damn fine tablets nonetheless. Especially the G3. My only tip for you is to not focus on the tool, but just treat it like a regular brush. My first few pics with the Wacom looked awful because I was so caught up in how to best make use of the tablet, and to push it to its limits as best I could, but that really only distracted me. Just find the settings that best suit your style (Size sensitivity? Opacity sensitivity? Both? Neither? Amount of pressure sensitivity? Etc., etc.) and try to get as comfortable with them as possible.

I use a graphire 2 and it does more than the required job for an amateur artist (myself)

Niec work for a beginner with the tablet, puts mine to shame Smile
