Wow, surprised no-one's commented on this yet. The shading is excellent. Nice work!
Only crit I'd make is that I think you could have done without the paper grain on this, but it's only noticeable in the close up shot. |

cg, great technique and strong commentary, the things good art is made of. The watercolor effect is nearly perfect, maybe I should switch to painter. I disagree with ceenda, the grain is a subtle effect and adds to the painting.
great++ |

texture effect.. maybe i'll post the version i did without it? (just to compare)

heh, but it's all right if you're completely non patriotic and shouting it out to the world.
I don't want to start a debate in someone's picture post... sorry before hand.
Anyways, cool pic cg  _________________ http://kontinue.com/coldkodiak/ |

actually, i'm glad that this has caused some discussion/debate..
the piece was done as a statement against terrorism.. and how the US
needs to be prepared. we need to accept the fact that it's only a matter of time before another attack happens on american soil..
are we ready? _________________ _____________________

*sigh* I'm being misunderstood here. Let me re-iterate; there's nothing wrong with a little patriotism. Ok, so I was a little rash with my first off-hand comment but you people need to chill a little.
BTW, I still love this painting |
