Hi all, Im new to posting in this forum but have been a visitor for some time and a big fan of many here
Anyway.. Im working on a Photoshop artwork atm and Im sooo stuck when it comes to the background. First of all I can say Im not skilled in painting techniques and the basic things like making up a whole "scenario" or enviroment before I start never crossed my mind in any of my pictures.. I just basicly start with something like a face and then go on from there heh. Lightning and such has never been something I have been good at either but I just think it's fun to paint and have no real intention to become a "professional" even though it's always fun to learn new things.
so.. back to my picture.. made a fast (1 min) background just to test but I really have no idea what kind of enviroment to put her in.. so ideas would be great here.
Thanks
/ Magnus, Sweden

Amazing! I like that background.
Just make sure you don't add too many distracting details.
IMO you could even call it finished.
Maybe the feet look too small.
And you can try to crop it to change the composition.
For example there's too much space to the right. _________________ http://www.conceptworld.org |

Looks pretty good to me. I agree with Andy, this piece works with minimal detail. The only thing that bugs me is her left hand (our right). There's a few anatomical impossibilities in that hand, but it should be a pretty quick fix. Just put your own hand in that position and take a look. |
