yes i know without a background it hurts the eyes.. will be added later.
more wip: am i going the right way?
btw this is all w/mouse
i am still not confident in coloring with my tablet.. i really need some pointers.
i notice i am clicking alot to change brush size and opacity all the time and switching between my mouse and pen would make things prolonged. unless there is a trick, i am using the mouse to color for now. |

You can use [ and ] to change the size and press ALT when you have the brush out in PS to get the color picker. Additionaly (since I dont like flipping the pen over for the tablet) E is for the eraser and switcht back to brush is B. Press shift and B (or E) to cycle through the other tools for them (such as B is brush and Shift+B is the Pencil etc). Z is the zoom tool and hold ALT is zoom out. As for the opactity there are several...
1-0 is 10%-100% and if you press 0 + 1 its 1% and if you press 0+2(,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) its 1%,2%,3% etc etc
orrrrr
you can type them in :p 76 = 76% etc
I am overlooking the easiest way (has to do with holding a key down and pressing 2 keys but I forgot)
I'll get back to you on that one bleh and I use it all the time grr
To change the hardness/softness in PS it's shift+[ and ]
Do a search for "PHOTOSHOP SHORTCUTS" and you should find alot on google.com
and there is ALOT more than what I mentioned but the above mentioned I found more useful than the others. (like K for paintbucket etc)
Also take advantage of the pen pressure settings you can use to set for opacity, color, etc in photoshop (if your using it) it's easier than switching opacity. Also using pressure to change the size of the brush
And then again if your using painter then these will be totally useless(i think) lol _________________ Meep meep |

thanks xyster, i could have opened the manual but ya saved me lazy arse.
i agree with the forms andy.. i am afraid to go too dark, or too bright.. since there is no real lightsource on the picture im just dipping colors around how i see fit. if i remove the sketch layer completely, you almost don't know what it is. |
