Hi, I'll spare you the whole, "I'm new here, so please welcome me" speech, I'm really just looking for people to comment on the above image that I coloured/shaded. I did NOT draw the above image, it is drawn by Beam, a fellow member, I take no credit for drawing it, I just used it as my good image to practice digital colouring. All comments, suggestions, or law suits are welcome. Thanks.

By the way: Beam, your a very talented artist!

Okay, I erased the lines, but there is no way I'm erasing that blood!

Thanks for the comments, looking forward to future responses.

You've got a great start - by that I mean this:
1) The basic figure and shape look good
2) You've got good colors and great lines to work with.

Do this, check out Dhabih's tutorial page and pick up from I think step 2 or 3. Some smudging here and there, more detail and refinement, and even better shading would make that a really kick ass pic.

But, that's a lot of work. It rocks good right now, but experiment and see what happens!!

Thanks, Chrisk82! Those were some good suggestions, hopefully, you'll be seeing some of my original work soon (this was just CG practice )

well Dylon,

I agree everything what other members said, but I have to say that I'm a bit disappointed at you. I hoped that you would have even ask me before using that picture, or at least before publishing it here.
I don't mean that I'm angry or something, nice work you've done there, but please ask next time if you want to use a sketch I've made before you publish it anywhere, ok?

But altho good work, and keep going, you'll be great.

A big thumbs up for the remarkably good shading.

Although I would go further with it but that is a totally different style.

Well all, I think it's definetily not cool to steal other people's sketches and/or images. You should always, no matter what, ask the artist if it's ok to use it. (When I had a 3D class at school, one guy stole my 3D model of a skeleton and took credit for it in his animation). It's not that I can't share my work, it's just that I don't want other people to take advantage of something they didn't do....enough said about that...

In this case nobody got ...hurt, so It's ok then...but in the future...please ask us if you want to use something...thanks all

bEam,

Hey, sorry man, you're right, I should have asked for your permition.

But I just needed some practice, and none of my sketches seemed to be worthy... and that knight just seemed to scream "COLOR ME".

This is a forum with artists, so I thought I could just get a few opinions before I started out doing my own stuff, I didn't really mean any harm, but I'm sorry. I would never post it on my site or say it was mine though, I'm not that low. Thanks for being cool about it, and thanks everyone else for your comments.

Peace,
Dylon

Hmmm... I never took credit for the original drawing did I? I know I didn't ask for permision, and I'm sorry, I've learned my lesson... the hard way.

Anyways, big thanks to bEam for not screaming at me like most people would.

Dylon,

thanks.
Well I'm not THAT jerk.
These things happen, I just hope that you have learned what to do next time.

But no big deal, feel free to use every sketch I've made, but please ask my permission then first is you want to publish them somewhere.

Take care, and keep going man!
