Hello everyone! A friend of mine pointed me to this web board and after viewing the extraordinary artwork here, I wanted to sign up and begin to meet other artists.
For a long time I was very shy regarding my artwork but I am beginning to appreciate the need to be able to speak with other artists and to network with other people. My hope is to one day break into the field of RPG illustration, something I'm pushing to do and beginning by trying to get samples sent out to various places. As I do that, I hope to continue to grow as an artist. I'm posting some samples here and I hope to be hang around here often! The first picture is an elf loosely based off of Pirotess from Lodoss War. The second picture is a huge..warrior..thing. Heh. I hope I attach pictures right.

I draw superheroic type characters often, especially the 'big guy' archetype. So I have to work on keeping the slender folk slender. So thats why the girl may seem bulkier then she probably should be. Thanks for your comments! |

LOL! Just when I thought superheros couldn't get bigger bulging muscles you make this post!. It's really nicely done and funny as hell. I don't know if that was your intended message. Looks more like you're trying to make fun of the comic book industry rather than enter it. You should consider getting into the industry of political commentary illustration, or simply comedy type stuff that shows up in magazines or newspapers.
The first illustration on the other hand is completely different and looks more serious. I do prefer the second one though.
I can see you making an illustration that makes fun of body builders with a guy lifting tons and tons of weight and agony written all over his face.
Nice work! |
