hehe, there are deadly mushrooms in the trees.
the horse's eye is too big for its head. it's starting to look like "the last unicorn" and she was anime-drawn. and she no tail.
i think it's a little strange, though, that the rings around the planet are dark like that. _________________ Ylla's Art Gallery

Hey CwStone and Ylla. Thanks for the comments,
i have updated some of your concerns. Take care.
Btw, the tail is coming Must get the basic structure up first.
Moved the tombstone further in. Added 2 birds.
Started shading the unicorns body.
Removed ring around planet.
Made the unicorns eye smaller.
Moved the unicorns horn so its centered on head. _________________ Sincerely

Hey. this is a nice image, i especially like the sky.
some suggestions:
I know you are not finished yet, but make sure you add a bit more "roughness" to the unicorn in the sense that right now it looks completely smooth and featureless while its surroundings have so many small details.
also, I found it odd how you started rendering parts of the image fully before you even added shading to others. I think it is better practice to gradually add details to the whole image in layers, as that keeps the image coherent. _________________ aliensamurai.deviantart.com |

BM- The eye of the unicorn is killing this picture. The rest is beautiful, but the fact that the eye is so cartoony(proportion wise) and is in the center of the picture. ARRRGh please fix that!!! _________________ ICQ # 84220724

i gotta say i absolutely love yer sky, n e place u learn'd to draw it from or u juss learn'd over time?
I will complain about the unicorns eye, I think it doesnt suit the picture at all and is an "odd" element, its an ez fix though.
Get some horse pics and draw 3-4 eyes and u'll get da idea of the shape, then juss draw it on here.
keep us updated if u fix it, but I love everything else, juss awsome sky man...wow..! |

love the sky, my main complaint is that the depth of color in the sky really doesn't match the foreground. one of the previous versions, up to about version 8 the background is lighter and matches for foreground more. but now i think to maintain the style of te sky you need to darken the unicorn a bit, add some shadow since its lighting doesn't currently match the light source on the grass, and possibly add some more colors, add a little more atomsphere. oh, and the eye weirds me out, i think it's either too high on the head, too big, ends too high, or doesn't match the perspective of the skull, hard to say.
pictures definitely impressive in areas though, love the coloring in the distant landscape |
