i bought a new sketchbook recently and decided to try a looser style (i.e. i wasn't overly concerned with anatomical correctness). it was surprisingly fun, and i liked the results. i will definitely be doing more sketches of this kind. here are the first couple of pages:

oooh, very very good. you say you weren't concerned with anatomical correctness, but they ALL lie in the same anatomical base (ie, if the first one's proportions were taken as what it should be, the other ones are all correct
very funny imaginative sketches. i dig the semi-robot dude.

thanks for the comments, everyone. i plan to do a whole bunch of these and select a few of my favorites to be turned into completed works. in the meantime, i'll keep posting my sketches as long as people are interested in seeing them.  |
