hey guys, im new here (i have to say i love the work) and i have a couple questions, bear with me!
my first question, do any of you hand draw then scan your artwork? i have tons of hand drawn stuff and i would like to get it on the computer and coulor it (thats a whole nother problem in itself...) or would it be better to get a tablet? if so, where would be a good place to look for one?
my next question has to do with colour. are there any tutorials that anyone knows of to color in photoshop? it would be greatly appreciated, thanks so much
(p,s keep in mind im new, sorry if any of this comes off as whiney or annoying and thanks alot!)

Your judgement try the scanning first. look here for a tablet www.wacom.com

Well its really simple...draw your sketch....scan it....open it in paintshop (or what ever your using) create another layer.....trace your sketch on the other layer....switch back to the first layer and erase your original sketch...and there you have it! Now your ready for color _________________ The early bird gets the worm. but the second mouse gets the cheese.

I color my sketches in one of two ways. One way is to apply color set on "multiply" mode (photoshop) directly to the sketches. The results look something like this:
and this:
And then other images i paint in regular opaque mode over-top of the sketch and get something like this:
As for whether to use a mouse or a tablet, I use my mouse. But that's purely personal preference. _________________
