well.. first off: thanks for sharing/posting your work!

i see your starting to 'shade' your image, with lights and darks.. but you need to push
the values more.. (ie. contrast)

also-- avoid using outlines (ie. the coloring book effect) in your art.. noticeably in the lips and eyes.. --> unless you are 'stylistically' going for this approach.. lines do not really exist in life.. a line, or the appearance of a line, is caused when 2 values meet of different value..

as for the colors.. skin is more than just a 'flesh color'.. look in the mirror! you have blues.. oranges.. even some tints of green in the shadows, etc.. and to get best results you should incorporate these values in to your art..

also-- don't disregard parts of the face-- like the ears.. finish them! it ends up drawing attention to it when you leave it unfinished like it is.. one of my ex-teachers said: if you do a good job on 95% of the the art.. and then you neglect or don't do well the other 5% of the art, the viewers will notice the 5% that you didn't do well.. (finish the mouth, too.. you have teeth, so draw/paint them!)

anyway.. that's my feedback.. for GREAT examples, check out the self portrait thread on the forum.. it'd be nice to have you finish this and re-post it from what you end up learning..
