First i`d like to say hi to everyone!
So many inspiring artists on this forum im almost afraid to post . I have started drawing far later in my life than most people (around when i was 18yrs ) and have always had fascination for game and film concept art. I just finished my first year of college (graphic design) and am not really satisfied in the drawing skills i attained there. But I am also too lazy to do anything on my own. I decided to change that so here u go:
(first lame attempt to concept design):
I would really appreciate some feedback and critiques!
Thanks!

i think its really amazingly done
however, from a distance is just seems to be all one value. i think slightly more contrast would be nice in some areas to really make it pop. |

what kinda markers are these?
you can deal with those stroke lines in market in the big flat one-color area on the right if, instead of coloring in broad linear strokes, color in small circles, with lots of "ink", expanding the edges before they dry. ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) _________________ Ylla's Art Gallery

You started earlier then I did, I started to draw and such more when I was 23 which is 3 years ago so that makes me 26 now, huu Im old, hmm, now where did I put my keys ..hehe. I have a lot too learn but I hope I can be really good at the age 30.
I like this marker Robot you have made here, it would give more depth to the Robot if you added some darker values where the shadow is and where some details are darker, like the stuff Feng Zhu does.
I used to do marker stuff too but they ran out to fast and they are to expensive for a poor guy like me.
keep it up

Ylla: Those are prismacolor markers (they are a lot cheaper than letraset)
Matthew: I still have a long way to go i`m 21 now and am not nearly where i want to be with my skills and creativity but i`ll try to keep improving. The only problem is that im too lazy to draw every day.. have to change that... Feng Zhu really is a master of marker renderings, i`ll take a closer look at his work.
Thanks for the great comments guys!!!
