This is another in my continuing series of pictures where I force myself to draw things I'd never draw because I'm bad at it. So, here are some wet rocks and a warrior standing near a waterfall. I'm really trying to practice texture and lighting and things like that for outdoor scenes. Also, I'm attempting not to use refs for the moment, just to see how I do. Anyway, here goes...around 3 hours or so...

I really like the texture on the stones. It's hard to see any detail on the warrior though. |

Thanks for the comments guys.
Amichaels - Yeah, I agree with the warrior. I mean, It was my intention to have him almost sillhouetted against the waterfall, but I can see how it could be a problem. Thanks! _________________ -----------

Keating!
This is some really great stuff.
Me likes very much.
I think its just natural to se less detail in a sillhoueted object.
Looks great to me.
Might wanna add some stronger highlights to the end of the left arm/side of the character though, cause thats were the light direction is pointing at right? (minding the lights on the left side of the rocks). And since the character is sillhoueted I guess the inner parts of the rocks might need some to
Making the picture more alive by adding shadows?
great stuff _________________ Fru Tina Kttet |
