The painterly one is by Djew, and the anime style one is by Niko.
All pencils by me.

C&C welcome.

God I love comic books.

I think I like the 2nd colored version better. The 1st one is very good, but the 2nd just pops out at me. The color scheme is more dramatic I think, and more Matrix-ish.

I agree with amichaels the 2nd one works better...

They're fantastic mate!

I prefer the 2nd one also, it has more atmosphere and feeling.

very nice work
it's interesting to see how 2 different artists colour the same drawing, you can already see that in the anime style one the lighting is completely different, it's darker and more moody

however, i think "neo" has some perspective problems in that last frame where he has the gun pointed at the soldier's head, the left leg doesn't look right, or maybe it's the shadow in djew's painting, it doesnt seem right

Wow! Both colorist do your pencils a huge justice.

Godwin, I think the leg is supposed to look that way to convey extremely fast movement. Dub doesn't seem to have any issues with perspective anywhere else. Sometimes it's ok to make things look a little off if it helps the mood or helps tell the story.

It all looks good to me. More!! Smile

later,
Brian

I like the first one so much better than he second. It captures lighting details with so much more style than the second one. Both are awesome, but the anime styled flat color tones seem cheap compared to gradient lighting over textures.

I dig that first coloring' job a lot more than the second, but the pencils rock in the first place so.. good work.

Really cool, much better than the actual matrix sequel Smile I think i'd have to go with the second one, the 'animation' style coloring really makes things dynamic, also I think the overall colour-scheme is closer to what the film versions of the matrix would use. As for the pencils, great stuff, really action packed and easy to follow. I love the sort of exaggerated pose.
