As I walk throught the valley of the shadow of dhab's.... no......
As I casually browse through this forum it apalls me to see people tear down there artwork so much.
Like
'Okay, I know this sucks but whats good about it?'
'I'm just a newbie and I suck fat ballz'
'Please comment on my crap!'
All that stuff is just pure Bull. Stop tearing yourself down. It makes you look like a complete loser. And it will turn you into one. One who will never amount to anything. Stop doing it. If you know its crap, dont post your work and then go back and work on it until you think it is good. Then 'hopefully' someone will come along and tell you what you can improve on.
Another thing is take it upon yourself to improve. Dont just ask for tutorials. Go out and buy a book or get enrolled in some classes. Don't rely on other ppl from the 'net' to do your learning for you.
And stop the god damned malicious posting. You make yourselves look like a fool when you do that. Thanks and have a wonderful day! =) |

You seem to be damning modesty there.. Frankly, I prefer somebody who is self effacing to some kid spouting nonsense like '1 r00k U r a11 lUz3r5'
I think it's a good thing to acknowledge your weaknesses; those who can do that stand a greater chance of improving imho.

I say, don't evaluate your own work at all, at least not when posting it for critique.
If you do, it'll only appear as though you're trying to influence how others see your work. |

It's like Derida says; the artist is blind.
After a while it's all just coloured pixels and mistakes, you don't even know what you're looking at half the time.
Which is when it's time to show neutral parties.
Even showing other graphics geeks has its ups and downs; they say how they'd do it. But at least they appreciate what goes into it.
