the pattern on the dress makes it look very flat. just shading it wont do. you have to wrap it around.
its simple but nice. |

If you want the skirt to be that flat, it's better to not shade it, which gives you a 3D look, but the skirt is too flat for that. Either fix the shade or skirt. _________________ The truth hurts. Sure not as much as jumping onto your bike with the seat missing, but it hurts. |

Thanks for the feedback, I was considering stretching and skewing the skirt or whatever its called, but at first I was thinking I could pass off my lazyness as artisticness, I think im gonna fix it for the sake of it looking better though.
PhatTexta, that wasnt my original intentions for drawing her, she was just all I could think of so I drew her, but from the way things are going I believe you are right. |

i dont know how well that background goes... as someone once called it, the "metalcore filter". it just doesnt match the cleanliness of the cartoon. buy yeah, just fix the pattern and your set for the char. maybe a little more contrast? |

The backround is a series of brushes created at http://veredgf.fredfarm.com/vbrush/main.html that I jumbled together. I just remembered that he deserves full credit for those brushes so if you like those or have any questions, follow the link. I just threw em together to get what I got.
but I was going for a scratchy grunge type thing, shes got a punkish atitude and it kinda fit. its a kind of thing were you would have to know her to have this make much sense.
Im not sure the raising the contrast would help, shes half black and half asain, so she has darker skin but not realy dark. |
