Well, I sat down to do another black and white picture...and er well it turned into this. What can I say? I'm a color freak. But I do like how the cloud colors turned out. What would you do to improve this image? Comments and crits are appreciated. Thanks.
A version that's a bit bigger... _________________ "I art in your general direction!" |

Rychan: Pretty is good. Thanks.
Tinusch: =) Always a nice thing to hear.
R3skeEn: Dream cinematic, hmmm? Interesting. Glad you like it. Well, I wish you could explain the bridge proportion thing, because I don't have any idea how it should be fixed... _________________ "I art in your general direction!" |

IMO keep the bridge the way it is... but maybe there needs to be another "layer" of depth to help seperate the background from the precipice...
Something to push the sense of scale and the distance from the solitary figure on the bridge to the next level...
you asked things we would do to improve the image? I don't know if I'm capable of improving it... it's great the way it is
although I would stylistically try to set the foreground and background apart more than it is already by seperating them with additional ... something...
maybe another airship flying REALLY close to the guy standing there, or wispy clouds fading away from under the bridge...I dont know
but all the commentary aside, I love the image... you did an outstanding job!

this is really great. the clouds did turn out well.
im not sure if its my monitor's lightness, but the colors look too pale/washed out. did you try to play with the contrast/lighting? |

Yes indeed a very beautiful work, the clouds are beautiful. There are alot of rooms to improve your art here, like what animagic mentioned, you may need to do something about 'sense of scale' .
In my very own opinion, u may need to to add more darker shades or toning. A play with shadows might be able to improve your drawings.
Overall, the art currently has a fantasy dream world feel to it. It still needs alot of work to make feel really outstanding. |

wow, this is amazing.
I don't agree with cryonic on the shades though, I think the subtle feel to it is great. I personally would stick with it the way it is.
As for the scale been a bit out, I wouldn't know. As I too have no idea
This picture reminds me alot of Final Fantasy 10, great game. Great image.
