I've never been interested in painting, only drawing, but a couple of days ago I decided to give Painter a go. To get started, I did Even Michelsens apple & tomato Painter tutorials, and then decided to try to draw a human face from a photo.
So far, I've spent a little over five hours on the picture. Before I finish it, could someone please tell me what parts of it look the most unnatural?

Great job man. the thing that sticks out to me in the picture are the pierceings. they dont look like part of the picture, they kinda look luike they are floating there
otherwise it looks good, keep it up. _________________ Visit glitterbugs Secret Forum |

this looks great. really photorealistic. the ear is the only thing that tells me its a drawing, but ears are hard to draw anyhow.
paint more! |

I think the problem with the peircings is that they give off no shadows. They're just there. Maybe add some shading on the tounge and ears.. and maybe add more than 2 tones on the peircings. |
