my computer is kinda old (pentium 3 800MHz) and i dont have much ram too (256MB). To compensate, i check on the "smooth" option of every brush i use. the strokes come out much smoother, especially, when the curved strokes that i draw rapidly.
my question is, does this burden the cpu more? sometimes i do many strokes and when i make a pause, photoshop makes me wait a long while and displays the sand clock until it draws all the strokes.
thanks in advance |

Half the time I am working on a 450 w/128 mb ram, the other times I am using a 1ghz w/512 mb ram. If I am zoomed in on the older machine if I am working on a bigger image, it's way less choppy. When I try to paint on a huge canvas and not focus on a small part at a time it gets a bit laggy for me. |
